Sky over Kazimierz | Kraków, Poland
Does that sound familiar to you? You’re on a 10 days trip and would like to make some photos. Half of the time you have to cope with thick clouds or even rain. You set your alarm at 5am to maybe be surprised by a nice sunrise (which works from time to time). And then on the last day, when you’re on the way back home, it happens – the best sunrise of the whole trip.
At least that’s what happened to me on my last trip to Poland. Our flight back was quite early so we had to get up before sunrise. In our AirBNB apartment we didn’t have proper windows but skylights and at some point I wondered why we have such strange light in the flat. I climbed up through that window and what do I see? The most beautiful sunrise I’ve seen in Poland. Unfortunately I had no time anymore to get out but I couldn’t resist at least capturing the scene over the Jewish district Kazimierz in Kraków out of the skylights.
